    xx Megaman X Legacy Collection

February 15, 2018, 04:02:55 AM by Sakura Leic
Uh since we don't have a topic for this anyway and I can't make topics in the News Section we have some confirmation that the X Collection is gonna be 2 collections.

    https://nintendoeverything.com/mega-man-x-games-seem-to-be-coming-to-switch-as-two-collections/

Kind of sad it wasn't all in one collection but my guess is X7 and X8 were just too big.

xx Megaman's 30th Anniversary Stage Show at TGS

September 09, 2017, 12:28:39 AM by Sakura Leic
    https://gonintendo.com/stories/289729-capcom-s-tgs-2017-lineup-includes-a-mega-man-30th-anniversary-sta

Well since I unfortunately don't have the qualifications to make a news topic I unfortunately have to make due here unless someone wants to transfer this to the appropriate sub forum.

Anyway in December Megaman celebrate's it's 30th year anniversary at TGS 2017, hopefully the Blue Bomber gets back into relevancy in the upcoming years besides the cartoon which I feel most of us have low expectations for, but at the very least I hope it brings new blood to the franchise and hopefully interests news fans. But as I've learned over the years it's best to keep expectations in check.

xx Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 coming to PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4

    June 05, 2017, 07:46:25 PM by VixyNyan
It has been confirmed, after one recent collection for our dear Blue Bomber, that another collection called "Mega Man Legacy Collection 2" will be showing up in North America and Europe regions on Windows PC (Steam), Xbox One and Playstation 4 on August 8, 2017. An MSRP of $19.99 USD has also been detailed, with retail releases for Xbone and PS4, as well as digital releases on Steam, Xbone and PS4. An announce trailer for this collection has also been posted for viewing.

    <a href="http://youtu.be/iamiA3ki4-o" target="_blank" class="aeva_link bbc_link new_win">http://youtu.be/iamiA3ki4-o</a>

This collection of ported games, like previous collection, will be remastered in 1080p with bunch of in-game content. The collection will consist of Mega Man 7, Mega Man 8, Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10, with the DLC content included.

The collection will also have various game features in it, like Challenge Mode, Leaderboards, Replays, Museum and Music Player. The Challenge Mode will have a mix of trials and challenges for each game, like example fighting against the robot masters one after another or play through every level with only one life bar. And as such, your performance will be uploaded to online leaderboards and store replays for other player to look at. The Museum will have history, high resolution artwork, sketches and other image materials that you can look at from the lore of Mega Man. Lastly, a new option called First-timer Friendly, for those new to the series, which gives players an additional armor during gameplay, as well as Save checkpoints for easy reloads.

xx The UNTHINKABLE: Legends 1 on PSN

    September 23, 2015, 03:51:46 AM by Hypershell
PS3 and Vita owners (no PSP this time) will be able to download the first Legends game for ten bucks next week.

    http://www.capcom-unity.com/gregaman/blog/2015/09/22/mega-man-legends-coming-to-north-american-playstation-store

The last round of research/speculation pegged PS1 L1 as the most legally troublesome Legends game to rerelease, so this hopefully means that L2 isn't far behind.  And yes, I'd REALLY like to see Nintendo get in on that action with MM64, but I'll take what I can get.

xx Mega Man movie apparently under development

September 03, 2015, 11:39:20 PM by Protoman Blues
According to the Tracking-Board, there is apparently a Mega Man movie under development from 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment. I'm kind of at a loss for words, even though one shouldn't be surprised at the kinds of movies being made today. It is unclear at the moment whether this is going to be a live-action movie or an animated movie, but given that most people don't spend a lot of money to see animated movies not made by Pixar or Dreamworks, odds are it will be live action. Feel free to place your bets though.

As for the production company behind this, I'll simply quote a part of that article.

    Quote
One positive sign of things to come is Chernin Entertainment. David Ready and Michael Finfer are overseeing for the company, while Peter Chernin produces. Together they have a pretty solid pedigree for sci-fi action movies, including the recent/upcoming Planet of the Apes films. Mike Ireland and Ryan Horrigan are overseeing for Fox.

The recent Planet of the Apes movies are indeed excellent, so that is some comfort in these questionable and curious times. Still though, they're making a movie about a video game, so anything goes at this point.

More on this story as it develops.

xx Mega Man Legacy Collection coming to PC, Xbox One, Playstation 4 & Nintendo 3DS

    June 08, 2015, 06:58:21 PM by VixyNyan
It has been confirmed, after a long hiatus of no new games for our dear Blue Bomber, that a collection called "Mega Man Legacy Collection" will be showing up in North America and Europe regions on Windows PC (Steam), Xbox One and Playstation 4 sometime this summer and on Nintendo 3DS later this winter. A trailer for this collection has also been posted for viewing.

    <a href="http://youtu.be/yVfeUq5TmQs" target="_blank" class="aeva_link bbc_link new_win">http://youtu.be/yVfeUq5TmQs</a>

It has been stated that this collection of ported games will be remastered in 1080p with bunch of in-game content and will be sold digitally for $14.99 USD / 11.99 GBP. The collection will be developed by Digital Eclipse Software, the studio that worked on the Sega Genesis Collection in the past.

The collection will consist of the first six Mega Man games from the NES, similar to what Capcom has done before with the Complete Works releases on PS1, as well as the Mega Man Anniversary Collection by Atomic Planet, but without MM7, MM8, Power Battle and Power Fighters.

The collection will also have various game features in it, like Challenge Mode, Leaderboards, Replays, Database and Museum. The Challenge Mode will have a mix of trials and challenges for each game, like example fighting against the robot masters one after another or play through every level with only one life bar. And as such, your performance will be uploaded to online leaderboards and store replays for other player to look at. The Database will allow you to look at enemies and bosses, and also have you practice playing against these bosses without having to play through the whole level first. Museum will have history, high resolution artwork, sketches and other image materials that you can look at from the lore of Mega Man.

xx New Mega Man Animated Series coming to Television in 2017

June 02, 2015, 07:30:21 PM by Protoman Blues
*blows dust off new News button*

Haven't had to do this in a while, but well yeah, this is legit news. According to this article on Deadline, we are getting a brand new Mega Man animated series on television in 2017, which would coincide with the 30th anniversary of our beloved franchise. Dentsu Entertainment USA and Man of Action Entertainment will partner up to create this new iteration of the Super Fighting Robot (see what I did there?  8D). If you need some street cred on Man of Action Entertainment, here you go.

    Quote
Man of Action Entertainment is the bi-coastal creative collective responsible for such mega-hits as the Ben 10 empire and Generator Rex on Cartoon Network, and writing and producing Marvels Ultimate Spider-Man and Marvels Avengers Assemble for Disney XD. They are also the creators of the characters and team that populate Disney/Marvels hit feature film, Big Hero 6, the first-ever Disney animated feature based on a Marvel property.

More on this as it develops. Either way, WOOHOO!!!!

xx Mega May: Vote for a handheld title and it may release first!

    March 31, 2014, 08:54:26 PM by Phi

Six portable classics are about to hit the North American Virtual Console on Nintendo 3DS! The four remaining Game Boy Mega Man titles AND Mega Man Xtreme 1~2 (of Game Boy Color fame) are nearly ready for their eShop debut, and both Capcom Unity and Nintendo want YOU to decide which one launches first!

Vote in the above poll by 10am PT April 14 to make your choice known. Which of these classics will take the top spot? Mega Man V, with its unique Mega Arm and Stardroids (no Wily!)? Or perhaps you'd prefer Xtreme 2, with playable Zero and DNA Soul System?

Either way, the winning title will release on May 1, 2014. After that, it's "Mega May" as the remaining titles release each Thursday. Pick your favorite, but should your choice not release first, it'll still be out mere weeks later :)

While I will keep my vote secret for now (can't sway the vote!), please share your choices and rally others to get your favorite out on May 1!

Simply go to the above link to cast your vote. You have roughly 2 weeks till the voting period ends, so there's plenty of time.

    Happy voting everyone!
